The Development and Management Team of Sarantaporo.gr has taken action to establish wireless access networks in the neighboring villages of Flambouro and Gerania as part of the OpenWiFi action of GFOSS, which supplied part of the necessary telecommunications equipment.
The installation and operation of the wireless networks in the villages of Flambouro and Gerania took place on 2 and 3 June 2012 respectively.
The Development and Management Team of Sarantaporo.gr has taken action to establish wireless access networks in the neighboring villages of Mikro Eleftherochori, Likoudi and Kokkinopilos as part of the OpenWiFi action of GFOSS, which supplied part of the necessary telecommunications equipment.
Wireless networks were first installed and operated in the villages of Mikro Eleftherochori and Lykoudi, on 17 and 18 March 2012 respectively, while the installation of the wireless network in Kokkinopilos took place on 25 March 2012 as an event of the international conference "Battle of the Mesh v.5 - warmup", featuring some of the world's leading open source wireless network programmers!
