Ashoka is implementing for the first time in Greece the Impact program, a social impact strengthening program of selected Greek initiatives. The non-profit organization Ashoka has been in the field of social entrepreneurship for 35 years. Today it is the world's largest network of social entrepreneurs - men and women who put their innovative ideas into practice to systematically solve social problems.
Having supported over 102 initiatives in Europe through the Impact program, Ashoka aims to identify the most promising social initiatives in Greece, help them at an organizational level and support them to grow so as to multiply their positive impact in the society. More information about the program can be found here.
The selection criteria of the participants were, inter alia, their innovative character, their positive social impact and their dynamics. The organizations selected are SciCo, Paths of Greece, Alma, Bloode, Recycle at Source, Sarantaporo.gr and StartUp Boat.
