Sarantaporo.gr participates in the 8th FOSSCOMM 2015 conference with a presentation that will take place on Sunday 8/11, at 10:30 am in Room 2 of TEI of Athens, regarding its activity for the development of community networks for open internet access in the wider area of ​​Sarantaporo Elassona, making use of open source software and routing protocols. At the same time, the Community Lab Testbed developed in the framework of the FP7 Confine Project for research and experimentation on new technologies, networking protocols and services that can be developed on local community networks will be presented.

What is FOSSCOMM

FOSSCOMM (Free and Open Source Software Communities) is a conference that revolves around open source software for developers, open source communities and other stakeholders. Occasionally it has been hosted in many cities of Greece and aims to promote the use of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) by gathering all stakeholders on the occasion of a nationwide event.
